| Formatted contents note | 上帝用「話語」創造世界，祂說有，就有；命立，就立（詩三十三9）。成為肉身、走在加利利的耶穌也用「話語」創造世界，只不過是為了更新百姓的內在世界，啟發他們看到天國已臨到，並挑戰他們捨己跟隨自己──這位不尋常的彌賽亞。耶穌該如何用話語來啟示他自己，該如何教導頑固百姓這些偉大永活的真理？有趣的是，耶穌最常運用一種特別的語言，就是說比喻：「祂用比喻對他們講許多道理」（太十三3）。<br/>將近兩千年來，耶穌的比喻卻一直是最大的謎。「寓意解經」主張跳過字面、文學脈絡，為要求得比喻背後更深的屬靈教訓。這種解經法終於被現代比喻之父宇力赫所終止，轉而強調「一個重點」。另外還有陶德、耶利米亞的歷史終末進路，鍾斯的美學觀點及維亞的存在主義等等不同進路。儘管不同的進路給了我們一些洞見，但整體上仍離兩千年前在巴勒斯坦的耶穌非常遙遠。<br/>貝里站在這些前人的肩膀上，大膽了倡議了一種「東方式的釋經」。藉由（1）審閱相關的古代文獻，（2）深入理解中東農民的古老生活方式，（3）仔細研究福音書的東方譯本，貝里帶我們跨越幾千公里的地理距離，並飛越兩千年的時間差距；使我們得以走進耶穌說比喻的世界，重新領略耶穌比喻中撼動世界的爆發力。<br/> |
